In 2012, I had accumulated approximately $15,000 in savings and was looking for ways to invest my capital. At the time, I was working full-time as an engineer and had limited time to venture into anything too demanding. Given my circumstances, the stock market seemed like the most viable option.

In March of 2012, I opened a brokerage account and purchased stock in companies I believed in. Over the following year, I amassed gains in some positions and losses in others, while remaining flat on the rest. That year taught me a hard lesson: months of gains could be wiped out in a single day by a market correction. I had entered the game hoping to one day leave my job and trade full-time, but I soon realized that 'buy and hold' was not the answer. I needed consistent, sustainable profits.

As I dug deeper into market dynamics, I came across a video featuring 'Karen the Supertrader.' She discussed how she left her career as an accountant to become a full-time options trader. Coming from the corporate world myself, her story resonated with me. I watched that video until I understood every word.

The essence of her strategy was selling Out-of-the-Money (OTM) options. I learned that OTM options are obligations to buy or sell a stock at a certain price (strike) by a certain time, should the stock move beyond that level. What interested me most was that the seller decides the risk/reward and the probability of success at trade entry. It was, in essence, having control over the odds.

That was all I needed to know to dedicate myself fully to options. Six years after my first trade, in February 2018, I was featured on the 'Rising Star' segment of Tastytrade—the same network where I first saw Karen. One year later, in January 2019, I quit my job of ten years, relocated to Southern California, and began trading full-time.

Since then, I’ve been featured again on Tastytrade and have maintained double-digit gains every year since 2016. Over the years, many people have reached out to me for advice. Now, I have decided to unveil my trading habits and keys to success to anyone who wishes to achieve consistent, sustainable results.
